Hi 

Well the biggest news in the Stampin' Up! world since the last creativeJax newsletter has to be the launch of the Stampin'  Up! Holiday Catalogue. 
Christmas - my favourite time of the year!

Wellington Paper Arts and Craft Show

Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September

10am - 4pm daily

Te Rauparaha Arena

17 Parumoana Street

Porirua

I will be joined by a couple of my downlines at the Show - yay!  Beth will be there both days and Sandra will be at the stall on Saturday. 

We will be doing Make'n'Takes on the stall throughout the weekend.

There will also be a range of retired products for sale - stamp sets, punches, DSP and more!

And of course you can place orders for current products and book into classes and other events.

We'd love you to call in, say "Hi" and enter the lucky Prize Draw.

I will be running a Christmas Gift Box Class at the show on the Saturday.

Annual Catalogue Product Shares
I'm still loving the new catalogue and hope you are too. There are so many great new products that it's hard to choose what to order and use first!

The ribbons and Designer Series Papers (DSPs) in the catalogue are gorgeous, but there are such a lot to choose from. "I want them all!" you say - well I can help you out with that through product shares.

Product shares are an affordable way to get a a little of everything at a fraction of the cost of buying it all yourself.
I am offering product shares for DSP and ribbons from the 2014/2015 Annual Catalogue and for DSP from the 2014 Holiday Catalogue.

HOW DO PRODUCT SHARES WORK?
I gather a group of people who wish to purchase ribbon or DSP. The number required varies between the different shares. I currently have shares available for 4 people. 
The total cost of all the products in each share is split between those participating in that particular share.
When I have enough people to fill the share, I collect payment, order the product and then divide the products between those who have participated in the share.

Up-Coming Classes 

With the Wellington Paper Arts & Craft Show next weekend I have made a couple of adjustments to my regular monthly classes and added a couple of extra too. Please note there is no Tuesday evening class this month.

September Classes - $15, 2 cards
Wednesday 24th - Morning - 9.30am - 11.45am
Wednesday 24th - Evening - 7pm - 9.15pm
Thursday 25th - Morning - 9.30am - 11.45am
Thursday 25th - Evening - 7pm - 9.15pm
Friday 26th - Evening - 7pm - 9.15pm
Monday 29th - Evening - 7pm - 9.15pm
Tuesday 30th - Morning - 9.30am - 11.45am

Craft with Jax - First Thursday - 2 October - $5 + materials (if used)
Come along and join me for a relaxed drop-in craft time in the studio any time between 10am and 4.30pm or 7pm and 9.30pm. 
Note: Usually held on the first Friday of the month, in October & November this will be on the first Thursday of the month.
I will have a quick Make'n'Take for you to do - but that's the only project that I will have prepared. 
I will have adhesives, cardstock, DSP, embellishments and Project Life products available - the cost of which can be added to the $5 attendance fee.
You'll have access to inks, stamps, Big Shot and accessories, punches etc
You can bring along whatever you are currently working on, or chose something to start while you are here - boxes, cards, albums, scrapbooking or pocket memory keeping. 
Maybe you would like to spend some un-interrupted time getting your photos into an album!
We can share ideas as we create and get inspiration from each other.
Thursday 2nd October 10am - 4.30pm & 7pm - 9.30pm

Blendabilities Classes - 9 October - $35
Must be booked and paid for by Friday 26th September.
This class is an introduction to the Stampin' Blendabiliites markers and their use.
The class includes a set of 3 markers.
As a learning based class we will cover the basics including understanding the markers themselves, correct ink pads and paper to use, various blending techniques and using the colourless "lifter". 
The purpose is for you to develop the knowledge and skills of how to blend and colour.

Thursday 9th October - Morning - 9.30am - 12.30
Thursday 9th October - Evening - 7pm - 10pm

Card Making Day

WHAT

World Card Making Day is a holiday especially for card makers around the world to:

  • Celebrate the creativity of handmade cards and the personal connection that they create between friends and family
  • Kick off (and get a head start on) the holiday card-making season

 WHEN

The first Saturday of each October, kicking off the holiday card-making season, the most popular time for creating and sharing handmade greetings.

 WHO

The card-making community worldwide, including hobbyists, beginning card makers, manufacturers of card-making products, retail sellers of products, educators, and press are invited to come together to celebrate this holiday and creative passion.

WHY

It is a day to connect with fellow card makers both near and far, to applaud the creativity that powers the craft, and to provide an opportunity for card makers to connect and find resources that will empower, inspire, and encourage them in their card making.


We will be celebrating World Card Making Day with a Charity Workshop in support of Stampin' Up!'s official charity - Ronald McDonald House.

Join us on Saturday 4th October, 3pm - 5pm 

We will be demo'ing some of our fabulous Stampin' Up! products and you can complete two Make'n'Takes - one to keep and one to donate for use by those staying in the House.
Also Stampin' Up! makes a donation of $3 for every Flamingo Lingo Stamp Set sold.
One workshop attendee will be drawn as Hostess and receive any rewards that result from the workshop.

Stampin' Up! Party Time Event - 18th October
Being an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator has many rewards - discounted products and great incentives of course but lots more. 

This established, ethical company provides a huge range of resources to let you be whatever sort of demo you want to be. You could be your only customer, you could sell to a group of friends or you could build a business around being a Demo - it's up to you!

On Saturday 18 October Stampin' Up! is holding a Demonstrator Only event - Party Time. 

This is a training day for demos and potential demos that can register as guests through a demonstrator. The registration fee is $55 for Demo and $65 for guests.

Blendabiliites
This card was one of my first made with the Stampin' Up! Blendabiliites. I was lucky to receive a set of Mambo Mambo markers at Conventin in May and loved trying them out.

My "tip" for this newsletter is another video that  I would like to share with you. This one is about Blendabilities

This video was one of the first that Stampin' Up! shared about Blendabilities and is a great introduction to these alcohol markers. There are lots more videos out there - but this is a great place to start.
