Pre-Christmas Newsletter

Hi all,


I hope that you all are getting to enjoy the Festive Season, and will have the opportunity to celebrate Christmas in your way.


I am looking forward to having Christmas at home with hubby, Roy and our children, Beth & Ross. It is hard to believe it is a year ago since we were spread from one side of the world to the other at this special time.

We will enjoy Midnight Mass and carols! Singing is a big part of this family!

Beth is also helping with Project Elf on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day morning. So she is busy making cupcake toppers to go onto Stiletto Studio cupcakes ready to be delivered to service groups who are working over Christmas.

Then on Boxing Day we will be on the road to visit family up on the East Coast of New Zealand.


I do have lots to share about my plans for 2017 - but in this newsletter, I'm focussing on the upcoming Occasions Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration, with a little heads-up as to what's on the way next year. More details will follow.


There are a couple of things that are time-sensitive though - so check out details regarding Markers Club and my March Creative Escape below.

What's Happening in 2017

Inspire.Create.Share.  

That's my aim!


While I've absolutely loved what the past year has held - it's been pretty frantic.

There were so many other cool things that I wanted to share, and do, in 2016.

However, I haven't been able to this year as I've been very stretched for lots of reasons - including amazing trips and family times - but also as I've held lots of different in-person events.

So I've spent a considerable amount of my time physically prepping, packing up & down, and bouncing from one event to the next - rather than creating and sharing as much as I hoped to.

Hmmm - maybe that's why my craft room is in such disarray!


So, I'm making a few changes to how I run my CreativeJax Stampin' Up! business in the New Year. 

Let's be honest - I'm not really anticipating I will be any less busy!

But hopefully working smarter, and offering events and crafting opportunities that appeal to you, and that enable me to share with a wider group - both geographically, but also those who are more local but can't make it to in-person classes.

So I'll be moving some things "online" rather than being "in person",

and increasing my presence in the online crafting world.


I'm really excited to be introducing regular Class-to-Go Kits. 

These will be classes based around a particular Stampin' Up! product - usually a stamp set.  

This class model is based on my in-person "product based classes" which have been popular.

Once opened for orders, you and your crafty friends will have a week to purchase each "Class-to-Go".  

I will then order the products, prep your Class-to-Go and mail it to you. 

Each Class-to-Go will include the featured product, along with the resources to make several cards - usually 2 each of 4 different cards - and it will all come to you in the mail. 

You'll also get instructions on how to make the cards.

I'll initially offer classes these twice per month and am currently working on my schedule for the next few months so that you can see what's coming up and what products will be featured. 


Keep an eye out early in the New Year for details.

I can tell you that my first Class-to-Go will be available to order from Sunday 8th January.

It will feature the Beautiful You stamp set (which I got to showcase at On Stage in Brisbane last month in front of 680 people!) and the amazing new Stampin' Up! watercolour pencils.

My aim is also to send you a newsletter more regularly!

I know - you've heard that before!

But 2017 is going to see me pop into your Inbox at least once a month!


I will also be having some weekend and single day Creative Escapes in 2017.

We had such fun at our Extravaganza a couple of years ago, and I've had lots of requests for something similar. You can read about and register for my first Creative Escape below. 

There are only 8 places at this exclusive event

and are on a first come basis by confirmed booking.


I also hope to expand the clubs I offer.

I currently run a Marker Club early every year (info below) but have had people ask about other

club options so will be letting you know about them in the New Year.

and get to see and handle many of the products shown in the catalogue.

I will be taking orders for product from the catalogue so you'll be one of the first

to receive your gorgeous stamps, papers, accessories, etc


You will also have the opportunity to sign up for product shares

- a fabulous way to get some of everything!

As at all my launch parties -

All donations will go to Stampin' Up!'s official charity -

Ronald McDonald House Charities.

There will also be a Make'n'Donate - a card you make and leave with me and which I will deliver to Ronald McDonald House in Wellington.


There will be spot prizes throughout each session,

and a major prize draw at the end of each of the launch party!

Entry tickets given for RSVP'ing, attending, ordering, booking a workshop or private class

and joining my team.

CreativeJax Inaugural Creative Escape Weekend  3-5 March

Those of you who know me, know that holding regular Creative Escape Weekends,

where crafters can get-way-from-it-all and be creative,

has been one of my goals for some time.


So ... 

I'm super excited to announce the details of my Inaugural Creative Escape Weekend!


Dates: Friday 3rd March ~ Sunday 5th March

Start Time: Arrive any time from 3pm on Friday

Finish Time: Departure will be after lunch on Sunday

Venue: The Threaded Needle Retreat, Otaki

Cost: $280 early bird rate until 1st February 

- if booked and required payments made by 31/01/17

$330 after 1st February


Limited to 8 attendees

Due to the limited spaces, I am initially only taking registrations from people who are not Stampin' Up! Demonstrators - until 20th January 2017.

After 20th January I will open registration to demonstrators if there are places available.

Registration is on a first-come basis  - by confirmed booking - so be quick to make your deposit!


Get away from it all in Otaki and spend a weekend on your craft -

CreativeJax Markers Club

The first CreativeJax Markers Club in 2017

is scheduled to run from January to April (depending on numbers)  


In addition to the benefits shown in the image below, you will also have the opportunity to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration by adding to your order and earning 3 or more SAB items of your choice. 


There will be four (4) instalments/orders over this period,

with payment due by 20th of each month.
